It rolls quite easy. It clicks pretty good at the end of each roll and it rolls a good amount. All the boots look good, but they aren't holding grease very well. I'm no pro, hints why I asked, but to me it seems like more movement than what should be "normal".

Is there any other test I can do? I don't really have anyone available to turn the wheel back and forth while I watch.

I still assume the wheels are part of it, but trying to rule everything else out. No movement in track bar, ball joints or hubs. Front DS is out, so it's not that.

Vibration between certain speeds, commonly in the 45mph area, is a strong indicator of imbalanced tire(s). You certainly could have other parts worn out, but there's a good chance it's a balancing issue.

You could try swapping your front/rear tires to see if the symptoms change.

Yeah, that's what I've read too. Considering it's not above or below that speed, I'm sure that's what it is. I actually did rotate the tires and it changed a little bit, but still a pretty good wobble/shimmy up front. I've had a **** time trying to get these wheels and tires balanced so even the rears (now in front) have worn ****ty. Just trying to rule out other things before dropping the coin on new tires. I actually just got a V8 ZJ tie rod upgrade so I'm just gonna get a new drag link and pitman arm TRE for piece of mind. Thanks gents.

If you have a decent video recorder(my phone takes 4k) you could set that up to record a joint or 2 while you move the steering wheel. I did that to find a bad track bar once.

I had a 60-65 shimmy for a bit. Hubs and ball joints fixed it. I'm guessing it was the ball joints but I did the hubs while I was in there anyway. Not to mention both rotors were seized to the hubs.

Ball joints and hubs are tight.

Nope. Currently has balancing beads in them, but it was doing it before that too. The sticky weights kept falling off. Tires visibly have uneven wear and some cupping. At this point, I don't think anything will balance them.

I asked earlier but with no answer, so I'll try again. I bent my manifold gasket without noticing it, it still looks fine but there is a hole where the metal ring seems to be bent a little. I'm simply wondering if it's still usable or I need to get a new one. It's the one that came with the APN header, so no idea what quality it is.

here's a picture

Well, there's already a hole in the little flanged tube...but not in the place you said to drill it

Do I still need to drill it?
Do I just cut an inch off of it ??
The picture on cruiser54.com is too small to see if there is anything on that side ( like this hole)

BTW, this is the Rear tube vent thing:

Never going to "balance" a tire that is out of round, it's trashed. When is the last time you changed the shocks?
