For a '99 4.0 with the AC... Which hose is high pressure? Coming from the top of AC.

Most info I see on Google pertain to the older AC that have connections on the rear of compressor. Not really helpful lol

Default Camshafts

Im looking for a new camshaft. I want something that improves power and gas mileage. I would also like something with a lope when it's idling and an aggressive sound when I step on it. Does anyone know of any cams that would offer this? I've been looking at Comp Cams High Energy 252H and their High Energy 260H. Do either of these provide that pope and aggressive sound?

Your wishes cannot be fulfilled.

Choose a couple of those things only, cause you're not getting them all.

I stopped reading at "I want power and fuel economy," but I don't know anything about cams anyway

LOL. Yep.

Now let's add a lope at idle. What does that signify? Oh yeah, poor combustion and wasted fuel. Let's "step on it". Ooops, there went the fuel economy.

Assign fuel economy, power, and reliability appropriately:

...do you just get gasoline for free or did someone abuse you as a child? Fuel economy has been a concern since the 1920s.

In Texas we just tap it straight from the ground. Btw, tell us more about what it was like in the '20s. Lol

Pffft. Fuel economy. I burned 3/4 of a 20 gallon tank and only went 107 miles.

In all seriousness, the Comp cam for the carbureted 4.2 (258) works well in an otherwise stock 4.0. Not lumpy though.
