Wouldn't hurt it any to do so.

Does anyone sell replacement unibody/frame sections for cherokees? I have some rust right in front of the cross member on the driver side and would like to replace the section rather than patch it.

Thanks!

Some ideas would be great. Thanks.
Use a puller..
Or two hammers, tap each side of pitman arm at joint/TRE (tie rod end) at the same time. Since you already beat on it, a little more won't hurt.
The TRE is tapered and by striking each side of the pitman arm simultaneously, the TRE will drop out.
Does not take much force. If this is unclear, look up the two hammer technique.

There isn't anything manufactured that will, you will have to fab some. Why do you need them to cover the whole thing?

I sourced this: only on hard left turn there was a leak from the power steering fluid hose. I originally thought it had something to do with putting it in reverse bc I would notice it when backing out of a parking spot, though it was just the hard lock left that did it. I checked the reservoir and it was indeed low. I suctioned out 30 ml more and poured in Lucas Oil P/S leak stop.

For those on the passenger side can you get a clear shot of the actual plug and exactly where they come out of the harness?

As for the one coming out of the PCM... that's not supposed to be there. Looks like the PO left you a real nice mess. Does it run?

No such animal unfortunately. Check out a junkyard for a part you can cut out, maybe you'll get lucky and find one that rusted out on the other side, or that was rolled or something.

Otherwise you'll need to cut out the rotted area and patch it. Put frame stiffeners on over top. This is what I intend to do.

When its in idle going down a dirt road it will push a little above 210 then when hitting the gas it will go back down below 210 and remain at about 200 then down to 195 and back up again. This is goes on all day. I've already experienced the 'cracked head' issue and had to pull it replace it not too long ago, damn near everything has almost been replaced during that process, heres the list.

head cylinder/gaskets
thermostat
coolant temperature sensor
radiator/hoses/cap
spark plugs
oil pump
oil pressure sensor

I just replaced the coolant temperature sensor today thinking it was going bad to see if it would make a difference and it didn't, still going from 195 to 210 and back down. The only thing I haven't replaced is the water pump. could this be my mysterious problem? and suggestions would be helpful
The thermostat opens at 195, the cooling fan comes on at 218, the clutch fan ramps up air flow the hotter it gets. Your Jeep is completely normal.

This spot is a little worse but I talked to my buddy and he said he should be able to get it on the lift next week and patch it up for us. Adding stiffeners would definitely be a good idea though after this gets fixed
