Carpet is two pieces, one front and one rear. You will need to take out the seats, console and some bottom trim to get it out. Plus in the back you may need to slit the carpet to get over the tie down loops if you have them. You could try vacuuming and a steam cleaner wand before pulling it. Most rental carpet cleaners offer an upholstery wand that works pretty well.

My np231 on my 91 has had shifting issues since I first tested it out after the sye (and a number of other stuff). It wouldn't go into 4lo and wouldn't stay in 2wd and when I got it into 4hi it was grinding.
Anyways, I am pretty sure either the rod is too long and I messed sometting up forcing it into gear OR I am missing the spring that's supposed to go on the mode shift fork's rod.
Where can I fond that spring? I have googled til my eyes bled and can't find it. If they don't sell it anyone know about what size it is so I can buy one from a hardware store? Any help is appreciated.

Hey everyone, I'm working on trying to get u-joints replaced and right now I'm stumped. I'm not finding much out about these so i'll just ask here. The u-joints just forward of the transfer case on the front driveshaft, i've only heard of it called a knuckle, on my 94 xj are shot. I didn't know if there was a thread that had some info on this or if someone could tell me where to look or maybe just the numbers for the u-joints. Doesn't look like rocket science to change them…hopefully. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

I have a Spare set of doors off of a 97 and up cherokee with the full windows, i have an 88 with the triangle windows could i take the full windows and put them in my 88 door and have them be manual? and what would i need to do this?
I just got 4 KC lights that are 12 volt, 100 amp, for my 95 XJ. I want them to go on my roof. I want to get a 2 leg harness, so I won't have to run 4 wires through. How long does the harness need to be?
Would something like this work?

Easiest way is to swap the doors. But you would need to change over to the newer style striker for the latches.

Alright. More fun provided by my jeep. I've had a rare issue where my starter will stay engaged. Turning the key again would shut it off, or turning the engine off completely would obviously do the trick. Restart wouldn't be an issue.
Well, now that it's 9 million degrees I've been having a LOT of these issues. Additionally when I turn the key to off, the engine keeps turning over. I do now have a rear at 4.5in. so the whole jeep is pitched nose down. Not sure if that is making things worse. New starter? New ignition switch? Ideas? I'm not liking the horrible grinding noise the engine makes when this happens.

Either your starter & solenoid need to be cleaned or you've got a bad relay further upstream.

There's been oil all other the bottom since I got her but i haven't noted much if an oil leak from the dipstick readings. I did replace the oil pressure sensor a few months back and it has been sometimes working and sometimes not. Also installininstalled a different NSS last october. Everything has worked fine until I lifted the rear and this hot weather has been around. I'm sure every single gasket needs replaced at this point. The PO seems to have abused her hard the more I take things apart to fix them
