Yes those are also acceptable uses for them! Now if you think you can pry something without them bending, you'd be wrong.

Default Sputtering to a start

4.0L AW4

When the engine is dead cold (sitting overnight or the like) and I go to start it it will crank over normally but, after a second of cranking it 'spits and sputters' up to idle for a second instead of just roaring to life like usual. Does this only when cold. If engine is even slightly warm it roars right to life. Any ideas?
btw, once started it idles and drives flawlessly like normal...

*****
-replaced plugs, wires, cap, and rotor a few thousand miles ago.
-battery connections are good with a strong voltage reading as well as passing a load test

If it smells like mildew, it may need to be replaced. The padding behind the carpet is what holds moisture and gets funky.
Next best thing is to remove it, wash and bake in the sun.
I use a shop vac and spray bottle with dish soap (not bleach type) which is a good degreaser, can also use clothes soap. Spray it and vaccume at the same time.

I can make a new thread if this isnt the type of question this thread is for.

From the radio ad you posted.

iPod Ready: JVC KS-PD100 iPod adapter is required and sold separately
The Apple iPhone 3G, iPod Nano 4th Gen, iPod Touch 2nd Gen, and any other newly released iPods can be controlled using the iPod adapter above; however, charging will not be possible unless you purchase the Scosche IFWA PassPORT charging adapter.

Uhhmm...

So you got it towed to your house. Now you want us to tell you if the Jeep can be driven by someone else?

Why exactly was it towed then? That's what one does with vehicles when you can't drive them.

So many thing wrong with that. First not enough posts to be selling here. Second, 500 for a 93 with bad motor, eh. Depends what else it has going for it.

Same fuel system as an XJ. Done any troubleshooting? OBD-I codes?

I have always tried to keep my truck stock, so when my OEM radio took a dump, I bought another OEM on EBAY with a cassette player.

Then I purchased a good Cassette adapter on Amazon, the monster ICard 800.

You shouldn't scrimp on the adapter-it makes a lot of difference in the sound reproduction.

Another hint: Don't leave it in the player when you're not using it.

Seeing as my XJ came with an already updated radio, I was thinking about going with this guy

I don't think you can go wrong with a Pioneer for 60 bucks.

Back when I was a young fart, Pioneer was the way to go for car stereos. You weren't cool if you didn't have a Pioneer.
