Are the positive/negative wires correct going to speakers?

Radio harness descriptions here; http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...eard/Jeep.html
As for speaker power handling, will have to remove one to read label on backside to get RMS value and peak power.

Default High speed fan only

I have a 91XJ that only the high speed works on the fan. Doesn't make a difference heat or air. I have replaced both the fan switch and the blower resistors. The harness connector at switch has been hot enough it's melted but wires fit tight. I tried to use used parts but all I found in junk yards had the wire harness connector melted at switch also. Thanks in advance. It does have a new blower motor also.

Yes and no.

It actually reduces fuel pressure when there is no vacuum to help with a clean idle.

Leave it alone. the biggest factor in good fuel economy is your right foot.

Read up on driving with the aid of a vacuum gauge.

Default Headliners.

I've searched the signs and threads. I need to know if a later model headliner board will work in a 96. Mine was destroyed.

The interior trim pieces were changed. The headboard will fit but there will be some gaps

Default I want to know if this Jeep Repair is a Good Idea

So, I decided that once I get my car fixed, again, that I will put it for sale or even before that I should get myself something that fits my current life better. I started doing handyman work and would like to get something which has room to haul all my tools and that I can tow things with, but I don't want a big truck.

I believe that a Cherokee fits the bill nicely. It would be nice for me to Own and drive one once again.
However in my area a clean rust free and Cheep Cherokee is hard to find, but I have more time than money right now, and think I came across two candidates that could make one Jeep .. I just wanted some advice from others and i did not know where to ask this question.

While looking for something which I can afford, in my area, I came across two 2001 Cherokee's. One that has major front end damage but the engine still runs Good and another that has no engine.
I was considering buying them and making one out of the Two.
The One that has front end damage is a LTD it looks like .. and the one that needs an engine is base model Classic , but described as having No rust.

I would like to post photos and get opinions. Maybe it is a Stupid idea and not worth the effort. Maybe i need someone to talk me out of it so i feel better, or someone that can reassure me that its a great idea.
And by the way, they are asking for about 800 dollars each vehicle.

The Classic is actually a higher trim level that included quite a few options, and the Limited is comparable. If you have the space, the time, and the ability, it sounds like a good plan. I would be hesitant, though, to spend $1600 on two broken Jeeps. In my area, that can get you a decent running model. I'd feel more comfortable in the $1000-1200 price range, but cost is all up to you.

There are just two things to be wary of on an '01. First, it has a weaker head due to a casting defect. They're known to crack if the engine overheats. Second, the exhaust system has four O2 sensors and two pre-cats in addition to the regular catalytic converter. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it makes maintenance much more expensive

Simple question:

Where can I get Good Quality 9-inch rear brake-drums for my 2001 Cherokee Sport? Does anybody make heavy-duty drums that don't go out-of-round in 5,000 miles? I'm getting tired of the cheap Chinese/Mexican crap brake drums.

TIA,

Well what about buying the classic that needs an engine and getting an engine to put into it? Does that seem like an idea ? And if so what year engine would you recommend me looking for?

Well Only one does not drive. The ltd moves around , the owner was planning on making a trail rig and started to fix i for that .. so he does drive it around his property, but the one without the engine does not move obviously.. so do you guys think I should give a low offer to that classic?

Well it looks like the airbag deployed in the black one. 99 times out of 100, that's a totaled vehicle. I don't know the regs in your state, but it may not be eligible for registration again. If so, that seriously diminishes the sale value. I wouldn't pay over $500 for it in that case. The one without a motor, I wouldn't pay more than $500 for.

For me personally, I'd pay up to $1k for the pair, assuming I had the facilities and equipment to perform the motor swap. You also end up with a high trim level parts vehicle, so you can mix-and-match or break-and-replace almost anything on the Jeep at least once. Or you can resell some of the more rare/valuable parts to partially recoup your investment.
