Default Best parts?

Consensus I hear on the forum seems to be that a lot of O'Reilly and Autozone parts are junk (especially electrical), but NAPA is pretty good.

What about Car Quest ???

(we have OR and CQ somewhat local, but have to drive clear to Billings for a NAPA store)

O2 sensor from O'Reilly ???

BTW, is that the O2 sensor screwed into the top of the manifold back in the corner near the brake booster (threaded thingie with two wires plugged in)?

If so, looks pretty easy to swap. Somehow I thought you had to crawl underneath ...

If it's NTK, why not?

No. That's the Intake Air Temp sensor.

In the photo below, the O2 sensor threads into the bung on the exhaust manifold right above the "r" in the first line of text.

^^^^ You had to go and burst my bubble.

These Jeep manifolds don't make any sense to me so far - not like an old Chevy straight six.

I've had very good luck with NAPA, OR, and Car Quest... they have a great automotive paint matching program too. You can either bring in a code and have them match it, pick out or custom-mix a color, OR have them match a body panel on your vehicle.

OR made a great turnaround to the Checker stores, which were like vatozone previously.

So you just have to ask about brand on electrical stuff at O'Reilly ???

Most things I need they have to order. They can have it same day if I'm there in the morning and want to wait around in town for several hours, which usually I don't. It's over 50 miles round trip.

Yeah, I've done that too. But sometimes I'm not sure I'm going to get the right thing unless I talk to them in person. Last time I looked up the part number online and then called them

Is is the only way I order parts, unless it's a bog-standard OE replacement like brake rotors...

Well, so much for that.

Late 80's/ early 90's Camaro/Firebird does NOT fit. (Post 49703) The hole is smaller than the Cherokee Shift lever shaft.

Nice looking Shift **** though...
