I think anything from '84-96 would work, but I haven't swapped one myself

Jeep won't start, it was previously running great. Cranks for days, no start. No CEL.

New parts-
CPS, TPS IAC, battery, all grounds and power wires, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, cap and rotor, ASD relay, as well as the other 3 bigger relays next to it, other stuff I'm forgetting, I'm sure.

Fuel pressure tested fine a few weeks ago when I was trouble shooting what turned out to be a grounding issue. Had spark at that time also. Will test for spark and fuel pressure again when I get a chance.
All fuses seem right.

I currently think it is possibly the MAP sensor, as it's the only old part I know I haven't replaced, besides the fuel pump. But it seems a stretch, as the symptoms only partially line up.

Any ideas? I don't care if you make me look dumb if it fixes the issue.

Default composite or cast

What's the easiest way to tell if I have composite or cast rotors on my 99 Cherokee Sport? I plan on replacing wheel bearing hubs, u-joints, and rotors.

TIA

Search for rear hatch lift support shocks, about $30 for two, takes about 10 minutes to switch out. Easy fix.

Here is an example

That's what I was afraid of, the fiberglass ones are not so good. Was really hoping '97 was in there as well, since that's the year they went to an all steel lift gate.

the hinges are different, the liftgate struts are different locations and the shape are different. I think

It was on the right side of the head close to the spring for cylinder #4. I was able to get a clear view of the leak with the oil cap off.

Default Rotella T6 in my 97 with low mileage?

Hey Guys,

Instead of starting a new thread, I was hoping to get some quick hits on this. I just purchased two gallons of Rotella T6 5w-40 as I'm in need of an oil change. I've never used it, but I've heard such good things from you guys in my searching and I wanted to give it a try. I'm just curious if the 40 weight at operating temp might be "too much" for a 70k mile engine?

Part of me was just gonna do it without asking, but since I can't do it till tomorrow, I figured I'd ask. Not to mention I don't want it to be "too much" for a low mile engine, and have to spend another $20 to $30 for another 6 quarts of something else.

Thanks!

Thanks! Quick and to the point.

I actually feel confident in using it after the more in depth research I've been doing the last couple hours.

Default value?

so how much would you value a 94ish 4.0 out of an xj with the transmission (ax15) and transfer case (not sure on which one). already pulled? rebuilt 8 years ago with about 30,000 on the motor and 20,000 on transfer case and transmission? i have an 88 with the renix but want a strong 5 speed. would this be very difficult to swap the two?
