No harm in doing your own research. Taking things on face value can have its risks, another source to help verify is always good. Im glad your dad will help if it came to it, but I know you'll figure this out. And it will be rewarding..

Get under that hood with a light and trace the exhaust! When you can't trace it anymore, crawl under the thing and continue tracing. The o2 is the only thing sticking out of exhaust besides hangers! Sometimes spending a few minutes just laying under your jeep looking is a good thing. Almost therapeutic in its own way

Thank you! I will certainly get right to that. Now to the cleaning the throttle body. I have been looking and some say to just spray the throttle body cleaner and or to use that and wipe it down?

I traced the entire exhaust and found only one o2 sensor and it was upstream. So now im on pace for that. But i turned the truck on and got under it as to listen and the sputtering is happening inside the engine and that is where i hear it through the exhaust obviously. So should i clean the throttle body and replace o2 sensor or start with one then try for the other if no progress?

So no hole? sigh.. Without facts you can only guess. I guess cleaning the throttle body is only the cost of a can of cleaner and a new o2 can be 30-100 bucks depending on who/where/what quality you get.

I suppose no hole. I can blame that to my dad. He said there was one that and because he looked it all over i presumed he was correct. Lesson learned cant even trust my own father to tell the correct fact. what o2 sensor is most reliable and cost friendly?

Hmm. Sounds like dad owes you one.. Wait for more input but i think NGK is a good option for o2.

He sure does. I will get work on the throttle body tomorrow, most likely some more questions to come. And will get on and find a NGK o2 sensor if the cleaning doesnt help. Thank you
