My jeep has recently started to cruise oddly in the driveshafts. It no longer will be quiet when I let off the gas, it decreases speed and is noticeably louder now. Is this caused by a U joint in the front driveshaft? Rear seems fine from what I've felt? Can this be a fluid problem?

Does anyone know how dirt can get in a radiator?? I drove down some trails that were a little muddy about a week ago and when I checked my radiator fluid today I saw it had turned brown. But the liquid in the overflow reservoirs was still clean. I flushed out the radiator a few time and found dirt in the coolant. Any ideas would help. Thanks

Ok I have a question. Awhile back my heater was stuck on cold, I did research and found that it was a blend door issue. I removed the actuator and found that it wasn't even plugged in so I plugged it in and it didnt work. I reached up and could manually move the blend door to go from hot or cold extremes, so I figured it must be the actuator. I replaced the actuator and after that it worked however it only worked to extremes. For example I could turn my dial just a little but so long as its in the red "heat" section it stays on full heat but when I move to the blue "cold" section the air goes cold. I figured I could deal with this so I kept it like that ever since, but today it started making a clicking sound when kept in hot. I went back and fourth a few times and it only clicks when moved into the red (hot) section. I removed the actuator and took it apart so I could see if any gears were stripped and it looked fine. I kept the actuator out and turned the dial so I could watch what the gears do and I noticed that the motor continues to move even if the dial isn't moving and when the gears are as far as they can go the motor still moves but since the gears can't go anymore it causes the clicking. Now I am lost. I dont know if this is a wiring issue or my control unit or if I purchased a broken actuator but I am in alaska and I need heat and I dont want to keep the heat on and have it continue to click and break itself. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

Got a problem.
88 xj 4x4
Shifted tcase into 4 low to get shifter out of the way to remove center consol during the removal of the dash for my heater core.
Now when in 2wd or 4wd in drive I have no power. I have to floor it to get the jeep rolling. I can go faster in 4wd low forward then I can in 2wd or 4wd forward. What's going on? Iv drove forward and back ward down up street 20 times and can't get power back in drive just in reverse and some power in 4wd LOW

Yea try it, because my 98 lost low gears (auto) and lock up completely out of the blue after pulling over for a phone call. Turned out being a shift solenoid. Maybe you damaged a wire coming from the TCM while working on the core?

If I have full normal power in 4 low I should have it in all drives 2wd and 4 hi. I think it may be linkage related.
