if not what's different about the 99-01?

Negative. They use different connectors. JETRONIC was used 1987-1998, USCAR 1999-2006

Usually yes its bad. How old is the tire? Looks like age/weather cracking. They can be dangerous, potential to blow out the sidewall. If you air it up and it begins bulging out the side stop lol.

Question Key fob hypothesis

Has anyone tried programming a key fob from a later model Jeep vehicle (eg say a '04 commander key fob for their '00 XJ)? I would like to have a single key/remote unit vs having two separate key ring items for my '01

You either have an 8.25, or a dana 35 (unless I have my years wrong). The telltale sign for an 8.25 is the flat spot on the bottom of the diff housing, not the cover. You can see it from across the parking lot kind of thing. Dana 35's are oval shaped on the bottom.

I've done it. Just don't air it up completely, and you can shape it around the edges.

If you choose to do that make sure your system is totally clean before putting new coolant in.

Don't forget to dispose of old coolant properly.
I was able to finish the overhaul. I ended up doing the waterpump, fan clutch, thermostat and thermostat housing, and uper and lower radiator hoses. I think I am also going to do the radiator soon too. Everything went pretty well, though I think I have a small blockage in the system somewhere. But I have some questions because I am still a little concerned.

I drove it for 15mins or so yesterday after the job was done. Everything seemed OK. After warm it didn't go over 210 unless I cam to a stop but as soon as it ticked over 210 the e-fan kicked on. The coolant was no longer boiling in the resevoir etc.
This morning when I opened the hood, it was a little low on coolant (not sure if it used that much, or if it just needed to be topped off after the first drive). Also, I pulled off the oil cap and did see cooland on the underside of it. It was green, not milky, but for some reason I thought if there was coolant on that cap at all it was bad. I pulled the dipstick and it was also not milky. The oil looked to be the normal color.

Last thing, my oil pressure is really erratic. It will go anywhere from 20-60 depending. 50-60 while driving and 20-40 while idling. Once warm, it mostly resides around 40. But this seems like a big jump.

Help!

Please tell me I am being paranoid.

Sounds fine. It's in the safe range and will vary with temperature and throttle application.

Anyone know where I can get the two hardlines that go on the 8.25? Figure I could bend them if needed.

I bought a couple lengths of brake line from auto zone when I had to do it on my 91. I need to buy a flaring tool.
