Now that I have solved my radio memory issue I want to replace the old Jensen stock speakers in my 92 xj. Looks like they are 5-1/4". I tried looking online at Bestbuy and the only show 2 that will fit in the 5.25...and they were the most expensive on the site. So, have you all had issues with putting in new speakers in the doors and the liftgate?
Thanks for the info.

I asked a few questions in this thread because of some noise and issues I was having with the vehicle sounding like it was sliding and popping and I'm pretty sure I fixed it tonight, so instead of a question, I have a potential answer...
If your rear end is making some noise and you're not sure what it is, check to see if you have a Trak Loc rear. I did. A $5 tube of friction modifier and wow... fixed!
...I'm assuming so anyways. I drove several miles without issue today. Woot!
Also... there's a link you can use for an entire build sheet for your jeep and I strongly recommend it.

I'd never heard one this bad and nobody had mentioned it so I just thought I'd throw out what I'd found. I know a little noise is fine, this sounded and felt broken, lol.

Just a curiosity: did you check the efficiency of the limited slip by raising the rear and trying to turn one wheel with the tranny in park? If not that would be interesting.

in my Camaro's 10 bolt doing the test I can hardly turn the tire. There isn't any noise but turning a tight corner I can definitely tell the LSD is working. Goose the throttle and end up turned the wrong way...
Does the LSD work with friction plates like the GM rear?

Your camaro LSD works well! The jeep trac-loc is crap. The disks wear out after 20000 miles. I have replaced them twice on mine and when they're new you can hear TAC TAC TAC when you turn very very slow. Bigger tires don't help too, the lever becomes bigger and the LSD loses efficiency. If you goose the throttle on wet pavement you find yourself upsidedown on the sidewalk.
