Go to the junk yard and pull the block and the harness slowly so you can see where it unplugged and goes. That will be the right way to fix it. Who ever said you can pull the terminals out is a Tard.
You sure about that tard comment?

I've got a fuse box sitting out in the garage.....

LOL. No. I think you MAY be able to release the terminals from the back side of the box.

I can verify it in a bit.

Have an 88 with some flat rear springs. She has a 4" lift, what would be a solid, safe set of leaf springs to throw under her?

Hi all. Hoping to get some advice for my throttle valve cable replacement. I get the gist of it and know how to do it, just not sure how to unhook the cable from the top of the transmission case. Judging from pictures, it looks like theres a metal hook thats holding it down. Any advice on how to disconnect the cable with the transmission still in place?

Thanks!

You have to pull the pan to disconnect the cable

Yes absolutely! But I am just curious as to how to disconnect the cable from the external hook fixating it to the top of the transmission as circled in the first picture above

Just loosen that bolt up then slide the cable from under the hook.
