Crawling around my '98 yesterday chasing down some other issues and saw this...looks like at one point my front driveline U-joint smashed my exhaust pipe...

Should I care? Is it worth the time to fix? There is no leak.

horns come on by themself
good morning, I have a 1999. The jeep is in great original condition. It has not been altered. I do not believe it came with keyless entry[nothing in dome light].The jeep has been working fine. Yesterday it had a dead battery. I charged it. It started right up After driving a couple of minutes the horns came on and would not stop. It did not stop when I took the key out. If it wasnt just on it would flicker on/off. I pulled fuse 21 and the horns stopped. If I push the horn the interior lights will light as I hold horn button down. I can hear horn relay click. I can hear relay click when I open door. The jeep has cruise control ,which is working. The jeep has no warning lights on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Any 1999 jeep cherokee owners manuals out there?
Thank you, Chris

'96 eh? I've got '95 and '99, the '95 is probably closer if not the same. Will take a peek tonight.

You have any luck finding a Factory Service Manual for yourself?

Would this be related to the "pinch delete" I've seen mentioned?

Steering Colums?
I've got a 94 Cherokee that needs a new steering column. There's a 93 at my junk yard. Would a 93 steering column work in my 94? If not, would any other years work?

Quote: Straddle the center console, put the shifter in 1-2 gear range and pull. Be careful not to wack yourself in the noggin, done that several times. They just pull off, no screws or anything.
X2. It does pull off and when it does, uou get no warning.

Yes. I lived mine. Wish I could get another one. I sold that XJ and now I have a newer one. But the banks revolver was great.
