Yuk yuk. No check engine function. (wipes brow), but it has an emissions timer.

I learn something new every day. Can you enlighten me on what it is and what it does, and pray tell, does it make a light come on somewhere?

I guess you're saying when I turn on the ignition, no lights should come on?

By the way, the beast is running like a new truck.

After going through everything and anything on your list that applied, and changing that pump, it is one happy camper. Even mileage seems to be much better. Thanks again for sticking that one out with me.

There's a clear plastic timer up under the dash by the steering column. It came on at about 87,000 miles to let you know to replace the oxygen sensor.

Does it work like that on the 92? 'Cause I replaced my O2 sensor about a month ago and stupid "MAINT REQD" light hasn't gone off.

Nope. That's a Renix-only thing. You're on Chrysler OBD-I which has evidently thrown a trouble code.

XJwonders is, as usual, full of ****. The arrow is part of the early Bendix MyCare system that monitors vital health stats. When it lights up that means you need to go faster to get your thrill level up. If you're stuck in traffic a bit of cocaine will turn the light off.

The system was discontinued by Chrysler after a lawsuit. Health nuts these days are encouraged to purchase Apple's new smart watch and jog-in-place in elevators.

I want to remove my trailer hitch, as I don't tow anything(and don't want too), and it gets in the way on some trails.
My question is, if I remove it and install a gas tank skid plate, will it still offer protection in a rear end collision?

Depends on what you want to protect. Factory gas tank skids aren't very beefy lol.

Well basically whatever the recall was for. So I guess to keep the gas tank from rupturing.
