Ok so I had a question, I have a 1999 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 and the i6 engine, I'm hearing a knocking noise not from the engine but from below my feet, It used to only happen when I would first take off, but now when I'm stopped it will do it also, I looked at both driveshafts and no play, I was think engine mounts was the problem and I didn't see any rubber in them, so my question is do you think that is the cause?

None of my lights come on when I turn on the ignition, but the bulbs are good.
I know that because they work when they are supposed to, but when I turn on the ignition key, nothing lights up- sort of a "check the lights to make sure they work" thing.
Not the end of the world of course, but what makes them all light up when you turn on the ignition key?

Pried on balljoints and engine/transmission mounts. Closely examined all around, looking for 'contact points'.
Exhaust passes the oil pan with less than 1/4" clearance, but do not see any evidence of contact. Pinion has no play, same with output shaft. Shocks are still in one piece. Does not seem suspension related because it is not consistent with suspension travel..

Any ideas how best to fix this? I don't have a cutting torch, but I do have a small mig welder, grinder, drills, hammers, etc. Most of the normal hand tools.
Rear upper shock mount has been welded to body, shock bushing separated.
I was thinking i'd have to cut the floor from the top and try to drill through all of that and then probably have to weld a BPE mount in there.
Any of you seen a soup sandwich like this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am battling a knock under feet in 4WD only. Cannot seem to figure it out. Have removed and inspected control arms, trackbar and front driveshaft.

On my 1996, only the GEN light comes on when I turn the ignition to ON.

Maybe I should look for unibody cracks.
Exhaust is tight.
I am guessing it's driveline or engine/tranny mount related.
