I see. Will "snug" work or is there a torque rating I should follow?

I can't decide on a long arm kit.. Really I want a true 3-link so Clayton's would work perfect, but I'm still at 4.5" of lift and don't plan on going up in lift until i go tons next year. With this people say that my upper will have to "clearance" itself up against the trans tunnel but how bad will that be? is it worth it?

Other options are serious off road but they have stock bushings on the axle side (eh) and a cross member that isn't removable unless the arms are dropped too.

IRO isn't very adjustable and I really don't like their upper link being held in by a tiny little adjustment bolt..

I could do Clayton's radius arms but like I said I'd rather do this the right way if I can.

What do you guys think?

What's the general consensus on theirs? I'd do just the 3-link not the 4-link but I like the look of it.

It looks as if the frame side mounts, mount on the bottom of the frame rail. That seems to kill a lot of ground clearance though

I have the rockkrawler 3 link on my xj and I go rockcrawling. No issues at all. Love it

RK, Clayton, TnT, and now Andy from IronMan4x4 Fabrication arguably have the best LA kits on the market. They each have advantages and disadvantages, so the best thing you can do is research them and decide what will work best for you

I guess the lower hanging links would be my main concern. so far I haven't been hung up on my frame rail but I haven't done any serious rock crawling yet.

I'm leaning more towards Clayton's and RK's. How much of a problem do you think I'll run into clearance wise with Clayton's kit?

I don't have any first-hand experience with LA kits. Can't help you with this one except to consolidate everything I've read. Not having invested the time or money into a LA kit, I also haven't had too much reason to dig into the details of each kit

Couple of questions:

91 XJ cruise control doesnt work. The turn signal stalk is a tad loose but works fine, holds signal positions and kicks back after turn, wiper functions work. The stalk is old and paint is worn (doing a tad bit of resto too). How hard is this to swap? I've heard wheel has to come off and column taken apart.

Second, difficult swapping a Grant steering wheel on?
