Remove the driver's door switch assembly and have a gander.

Just want to be clear. The window does not work at either switch. The main switch is a master switch that has to work correctly for the rear switch to work?

Looking @ an 89 wrangler. With a 350

Mid experienced on mechanical and highly experienced with electrical.

Could this be a decent rig, or is a lot of mechanical tuning going to come with a carb and such.

Vague question, bring on the vague replies.

Yes, that is correct. All of the window circuits run through that one module. This is a prerequisite of the passenger lockout. Strictly speaking, an issue with the driver's side SWITCH won't cause an issue, but anything relating to that MODULE will.

Sure could be a decent rig. But yes YJs didn't have anything electronic on them worth mentioning until 1991... throw in a carbbed 350 swap...

Not very likely they put in an MPFI engine but you never know lol

Is there a "common" thing in our jeeps that can cause parasitic drain? How would i find it?

Ok. I have a question. I just noticed both my reverse lights aren't working on my 93 jeep grand Cherokee 4x4 4.0. I pulled both rear lenses and both bulbs are fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you for your time.

What is the likeliest cause?
A: bad motor
2: bad connector
Tertiary: a problem with main driver's switch
Finally: none of the above
Furthermore: something obvious that only an idiot could miss
Check the wires in the door jamb, mine frayed and broke there causing the window not to work.

If it has the AW4 transmission, the one with the drain plug, it's possible that the NSS aka Neutral Safety Switch is bad.

If it's a manual there's a switch for that... switches go bad. If it's an auto, it might be part of the Neutral Safety Switch, in which case you'd have other issues too. Not sure about the automatic... Anyone else?

What is the best way to remove paint from trim? (such as fender flares and window molding) It's for my tow rig. PO got paint happy and didn't tape anything when he rattle can'd it. It's not cheap paint either. It's the perfect match touch up stuff.

With the AW4 NSS, you can have a failure only in the reverse light function while everything else works.
