Basic electrical/automotive question:
Camaro won't start. Multimeter reads .83V on the battery, and my buddy's XJ couldn't jump it. If I pull the battery from the YJ (pull it out; not jump with the YJ running), how do I hook it up to increase amps instead of running 24V? Noob question, I know. I'm on my phone.

Same way you jump it. Neg to neg, pos to pos. when you jump you're connecting a good electrical system to a marginal one. Your buddy's XJ couldn't boost your junk Chevy because you were connecting a good system to a dead one. The YJ's battery won't work either. That battery will just suck down all the power available.

Nope. Pinion needs to be pointed up at the xfer case output. That's low. Probably work okayish with a transfer case drop sorta.
This isn't OEM tech anymore so I won't go into more detail. There are tons of threads on SYE setup you can look at.
If your alternator isn't regulated by the PCM and don't have EFI sure. Anything newer than the 70s and you risk blowing the PCM.
And still your car will die when you put the original battery back in lol. Alternators aren't meant to charge from DEAD, it'll probably stall out
