Worst case you might need to get the Jeep up off the ground.
Yep. And after that, don't worry about it. The trans was successfully designed to be just drained and refilled using the plug.

You think I'd be able to get them seperated once out?

I gotta put the pan on my 91 and I know it comes apart. I'd hate to have to put the whole dipstick tube back in, just in case I have to pull the pan again.

I'll figure it out. Lol.

More concerning, can I use some anti-seize on it when/if I get these damn things seperated?

Also, is there a breather tube for the AW4? I seen a write-up for extending all the brether tubes, diffs, tcase and trans. When I looked on top, I didn't see any kind of breather tube, or nothing. Was the write-up for a manual?

Not anti-seize. That's for threads. Little bit of grease.

Look up near the passenger side bell housing bolt for the vent.

Thanks. Grease it is.

I'll just try and take the pan out whole with the dipstick tube.

It could be a number of things. Something is worn out.

Did the pan strip, or the plug? The plug is made to strip before the pan.

Or did the head of the plug round off and you couldn't get it out?

There's a correct tool for every job.

I'd guess the plug but the damn thing won't come out. I tried vise grips pulling on it while turning. I tried putty knife and flat head while turning with a socket, nothing.

Weld a chain to it, hook it to another vehicle and pull it out.

Hah, not at the parts stores around here. They could all tell me the size though. Lol

Heads not rounded. Its stuck in the pan. When I went to drain it I ended up tightening it instead of losening it. My fault. I guess I was laying on my back too long on a hot day. I had just got done pulling the 242 out.
