Is leaving the TC out like that okay for a week?
Just cover every thing up and don't start it.

Both of your codes are fuel system related, the 1403 shows that there is a communication error.
Was the Jeep purchased from a dealer or an individual?
I bought it from a dealer and did get a warranty.

Yeah I want to check the cam timing. I followed the steps to index the distributor but timing is still off. Want to make sure the timing chain isn't loose and put a new tensioner in.

Start tearing the front of the motor apart then. Drop the oil pan first.

I seriously doubt you're on the right track though.......

How are you determining the "timing" is off? The chances of the timing chain and gears failing is extremely remote. Besides, ignition and cam timing being off does not cause a miss.

I have a feeling something is wrong with his tune up.

All the misses are following a tune up...

Its some scan tool that we used at school. It tells you if the timing is within specification. It plugs onto OBD2 connector. I thing it was called DRBIII.
It told us the timing was 20°

I wouldnt trust that thing considering adjusting our timing is not possible, to my understanding.

How many miles are on your jeep? Stock fuel injectors?

Around 10,000 on rebuilt engine. 784 fuel injectors. Should you be able to hear clicking noise coming from cap and rotor?

It only misses at idle, 700-800. Once its up to 1000 it doesn't miss anymore.

Define rebuilt engine and how it was done.

I dont think you should be able to hear your cap and rotor clicking, but I honestly have never looked for that sound.

Full rebuild. Cylinders bored 30 over. New head and components. New bearings. Crankshaft and camshaft inspected for defects. New rods and pistons, lifters. New oil pump. New timing belt. Gaskets

My father and neighbor helped me build it. Had it machined at a professional shop and they provided all the specifications for building it.

I would take it back to them and demand that they fix it. Have them hook up their code readers, check the codes again, then look into diagnosing the issues. If everything checks out more than likely they will clear the codes and have you drive it for a while to see if they come back. It's not necessarily a bad sensor, rather something not allowing them to communicate.
