Newbie here. I just bought a 2001 Cherokee Sport that is in awesome condition but with 170,000 miles. Drove it 3 hours home and it drives and runs great. The ONLY thing that doesn't work is the cruise.
The airbag light works and only comes on at startup. The A/C vents work fine as well as the horn. Is there a test to see what the problem is?
Thanks.

For a second I thought having your name in bright green might mean that you’re a moderator on this site....for a second. I can rename my dog "Chevy"and make him sit in the garage, but that still doesn’t make him a car.
First day of grade school... "Be nice"
So, anyway, I have read quite a bit about putting a new cat on my 1993 Cherokee.(4.0 live in MN, no emissions test) Some sites say I am worse than a baby seal clubber if I just cut the cat out and pipe it, others claim it’s actually better for the environment as MPG will go up and emissions test show an extremely small amount of change in actual emissions, with it removed.
NO BS, have any of you actually done this? Seen a difference? Had an emissions test completed? MPG change?
I was also told that the 1993 may throw a code if i remove the cat completely. IF i do replace the cat, do i need a special type, as not to throw a code or is the "cheepy" an OK buy for this item?
Thanks for the help everyone. I don't mean to **** off a mod, but sometimes people need to play nice, especially if they feel they are in a leadership/control role. He does seem to know his shiituf.

Must you do all this formatting nonsense?
A 93 isn't going to throw any sort of code as the O2 sensors are on the pipe. Not the cat.
Swap it out with an OEM spec cat.
