That's more trouble then identifying the rem wire.

And I believe on the stock stereo you will be looking for a purple and white wire.

Explain. The fuse block has places marked "ign" and "batt" how is that trouble?

Of course it does. It's not going to have a bright blue wire that says REMOTE on it but it'll have switched 12v.

But what you're saying works just as well and is just as accessible.

If you have a 97+ it's red white 96- is purple white but check with a voltmeter first.

I was about to say... I could care less what color it is. What matters is if it has switched 12 volts on it. It'd take about 30 seconds to find the right wire if your eyes only worked in black and white.
