Can someone post a picture of stock bumpstops or tell me how much space should be between bottom of bumpstop and spring perch (or whatever it's called)?

I was wondering if the temp sender in the thermostat housing had any effect on the ecm or if its just for the gauge?

I think it's gauge and fan controller. Not positive of that.

It is on Renix, but I think HO was different.

Issues with a HO head on a Renix:
EGR port
Filing on intake
New downpipe

Is that it? What filing exactly needs to be done?

I am new to this forum and am interested in purchasing a XJ. I just totaled my 2001 Wrangler and need more comfort for moving around in the military (Airforce EOD). I am planning to buy an '01 model and eventually step up to a 6.5" lift or 8" with 35s. I was wondering if anyone would happen to know the model XJ that came stock equipped with the Chrysler 8.25 Rear axle (SE Sport, Classic, or Sport). Any feedback would be helpful

You have to check each one and see, as it was a possibility for any trim level. Most here would recommend a '98/99 over a '00/01 due to some design and material changes.

Well thank you. Any advice on running 35s? I've been browsing others rigs and seen them with as little as a 4.5 inch lift. Any opinion for an on base DD and weekend trail riding?

I'm doing 3" and 35s on my Comanche only because nobody sells 2" springs for it. I've rolled an XJ before, and I'm now a huge fan of Low Center of Gravity (LCOG) builds.

Common for 35s would be around 6.5" but would depend on whether you're willing to trim your fenders. XJ owners aren't blessed with large wheel openings.

Would much trimming be required with a 6.5"? I loved the bushwacker flat fenders i had on my TJ and was hoping to put them on my XJ as well.

Those do require a certain amount of trimming, and they open up the wheel wells nicely. I think (not from experience, mind you) that you could fit 35s under 6.5" with those.

Can someone verify this with experience?

No experience here, but i've certainly seen the setup quite a few times. I'm sure it would probably work nicely.
