Question

I've spent a week looking for an answer so I hope you can help. 2001 Cherokee, replaced - coil rail, all injectors(4 hole), reflashed ecm $$$, new plugs, crank position sensor and shaft. I still get misfire codes and low pressre evap. leak codes. Starts good and idles good. When I excellerate hard engine starts missing and stumbling. Won't go past 2500 rpm untill I turn the key off and back on. Then it runs great untill I excellerate hard again(as in passing). restarting always corrects the problems. 195,000 mi. Uses no oil of radiator fluid. PLEASE HELP.

Sounds like a map sensor issue to me. Check the vacuum lines running to it for cracks and leaks. I belive there is a way to test it elecrrically as well.

Was sitting in my 98 Cherokee idling when it shut down as if I'd turned the key off. Testing shows no spark to plugs. Replaced CPS and coil, still nothing. This Jeep has Police Package with EXT Idle switch. Indicator light on that switch no longer lights. Could that switch be the source of the problem? Any ideas are welcome. Help!! Thanks!!

Distributor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires. Sounds like its time for a tune up. I know one time my jeep just died in my driveway. We never found the problem, but a tune up fixed it. A tune up wouldn't hurt but ill bet it fixes it. Will it crank?

Correct, the iac controls the engine rpm at idle only
