Well in don't know how roadside she was, but I did alot of my jeeps maintenance in the street since I don't have a driveway or garage. Lying on a public street to do my alternator, neighbors think I'm nuts lol

I have just purchased a 1990 jeep cherokee and I am planning to pull it behind my motorhome when I finish fixing it up. I have a few question about what I need to do for it to be tow ready. It has a tow bar and a light hook up listed below is my questions

1- Does it require a breaking system that is activated by the motorhome?

2- What position does the transmission and gear box need to be in?

Neutral for both and I don't know that one but I'd assume not.

Depends on jurisdiction. Generally if your towing vehicle isn't a piece of crap you're fine. A stock XJ weighs about ~3500 lbs which is the suggested max for not running without brakes. Brakes in an XJ are hydraulic.

Transmission must be in Park for an auto or some gear for a manual. Transfer case must be in Neutral.
