Default Weak fuel pump, or clogged injectors??

on my 97 xj, there are 2 bad O2 sensor codes. These o2 sensors were replaced, and the codes still come up. I am thinking that there is something triggering the codes off, but it is definently not the sensors. sometimes when driving , the jeep will spit/sputter, buck, and bog down mostly on hills. Im thinking that this is a fuel problem, i have disconnected the battery 3 times now, the check engine light will go off for awhile, the truck will run excellent, and then the light will come back on, and shell start strugglin again. Has anyone ever had this problem?? And has there ever been a fix (fuel pump/injectors possibly?), and could my ecu need a cleaning on the plugs?? Thank you!!

my first steps would be to test the MAP and TPS sensors. The poor running is from the engine going into limp mode.

If the codes are still coming up you need to check all of the wiring. The rear O2 sensor cable can get chewed up by rodents/driveshafts. As well look into a total ground refreshing. Many posts on here covering the ground refresh

Do you mean a drive shaft? The only time I've been under a 2wd was at the junkyard. If I remember there was a tail housing on the trans which looked like an aw4 (except for the tail housing). If the spline count is the same on it them I think you could. I don't know about it being any longer, because it looked like that tail housing brought it back so that it mounted on the same 4wd cross member.

$2000 each? Omm, no. If i was gonna drop $2000 on a axle, it sure wouldn't be a d44.

A 2wd drive shaft is about a foot longer than a 4wd drive shaft. It won't work...

The front shaft from a 2wd XJ should work tho.

Default 1996 Spontanious missing, backfire, no power,

Just bought a 96 Laredo P.O.S. and discovered it has a serious problem.
After running a while it will suddenly start missing lose power and die, sometimes a nice backfire gets in there as well. Seems to happen more at excelleration (driving thru intersections) but it will do it just driving at even speed as well....If I put it in nuetral, turn off the key and start it back up it fires right back up and runs fine for a while until it does it again....

HELP!!!!
