Also i went to Autozone to get the v8 tie rod and got thoroughly confused. The only steering component on my jeep thats hollow is the drag link. The drag link (was posted here as a tie rod) for the v8 won't work cuz it screws into something instead of over a tie rod end like the stock drag link

Anyways, I am getting no power to the Jeep. The first time it happened I just went to start it like I normally would and then it just cut out with no power at all. Didn't even crank. I tried jumping it and got my lights on, but then when I tried starting it it didn't crank once again. Then I just attempted charging it and got absolutely nothing with it. Brought it to autozone to have it checked and they said it has 12.6 volts? But he offered to charge it still. I am so confused at to what the problem could be. I am pretty sure it had good connections and everything. Any ideas?
96 xj stock w/no mods. Battery is a duralast gold top. Just bought the battery a couple months ago.
Try going in your jeep and turning key. Anything happen? No. Press the brake shift down to 1-2 and up to neutral and turn key. Rinse and repeat of necessary. This is probably the simplest of things to test and of it isn't the nSs then well see what else it can be

When you say no heat, you mean from the blowers, that could be the vacuum ball or line. And did it die when you went from park to reverse? Where is your rpm at idle

Hey, the upgrade I ran was doing hella Ecode h4 conversions with hella +50% bulbs and a HD wiring harness. Beats stock everyday of the year. I've also ran SSU and those are great also. I'm always amazed whenever I drive down unlit streets how my lights are just as good if not better than some stock newer vehicles

Our tie rod is hollow and a waste of time. The v8 rod is direct bolt on and is beefier

The only hollow link on my 87 is the drag link. What i was saying is the end of the 95 v8 drag link has threads like you would put a nut on. Our drag link acts like a nut and screws onto a tie rod end. So im confused how it's a bolt on part and my search function on my cf app isnt working to figure it out myself

You want the entire tie rod assembly, not just the tie rod end. (you will still need a new v8zj tre and adjusting sleeve tho)

You will also need ES3096 &ES2079S.. those are the other end of the tie rod, and the adjusting sleeve. Both those parts will cost about $30 together ..and will then bolt in place of our factory tie rod unit.

Yes no heat from the blower n none of the hoses get hit also. It dies when ever I try to put it in reverse or drive. As for my rpm I am cursed with idiot lights so I'm not sure.

Lol only in a jeep. Not to sure with older models sensors but it sounds like a tranny sensor. I don't wanna say the crankshaft sensor but someone with a similar issue should hopefully respond back. And I was gonna say there might be a vac leak that's why you have no hot air but I believe the hoses would still get hot

Check the vac ball behind the bumper and the line leading from it. Worse case scenario you might have to flush the core and radiator.
