Personal experience tells me thia. Not guesses
Agreed! Same holds true for Hydroboost systems (or in Jeeps case, Bendix 9 system) it will drive the accumulator crazy and keep triggering the pressure solenoids.

I have a 90 cherokee with no headliner at all. and no plastic trim that holds it all in not even visors . Its very hard to find a 90 in a salvage yard. I was just wondering if any other years would fit my 90. Im basically redoing the whole roof interior. If anyone could help me out that would be great. thanks

Just to add, ones from a 97 plus (with the built in speaker bar) aren't bolt in for the speaker bar. Or at least I could never get it to fit in my 91.

Let me know if someone knows different.

Since you have a 90 try getting 96 and under, there were subtle differences 97+ that might not match your dash etc very well

It would look very odd, all 97+ trim pieces... except the dash. Everything would be rounded and smooth... except the dash lol.

I mentioned it. Lol. I got the actial headliner in no probs, but the speaker bar (the actual plastic that holds the speakers up) was a no go. But it doesn't look bad at all.

Except for not having speakers.
