Ok 1988 xj 4x4 brake problem.

Just bought a new caliper to raplace my DRIVER front one. The one thats on my xj had the bleeder on the top. See picture.....

The new one they gave me for the driver front has the bleeder and inlet brake hose hole on the bottom. See picture....

Do i need to return it and get one for the opposite side for it to be right? Thise looks like itd be the right one for the passenger side.

I've had calipers come in the wrong side box.

If it doesn't look like the one you just took off, then yes I would take it back.

There is no p or d. Or l of r stamped on it? If not I have a set of calipers in the shop ill compare.

yes they gave you the wrong side, bleeder is always on top

Anyone know a trick to getting these loose? Iv tried pb, heat, vise grips......

Soak it with kroil, use line wrenches or it will round off
