The u-bolts? Spray them down with WD40 and let them soak. Then put the wrench on and get a big cheater bar and a hammer and try to break them loose.

The rod that comes up from the spring to the bushing is where i cut it.

Or, if they give you trouble, cut them, you aren't reusing them anyway...

The ubolts arent actually holding the sway bar on. Its a seperate bolt. Well im gonna do my cluster swap now and ill get to this tomorrow when i have more time.

Ya i was thinking of cutting right at that little rod part that goes to the bushing. Would leave alil left over but ohwell.

If you undo 2 of the u bolt bolts te sway bar bracket will come off. Or you can undo the sway bar brackets 1 bolt. Either way works. Get pb blaster and soak for a few hours and get a torch and heat up. Nuff said

Over tightened a drum? You mean the shoes? If so, pull up on the cable for the adjuster and you can turn it backwards.

I cant get the drum off to do that. Its too tight. It seems that no matter wgere i turb the drum that its stuck up top but all the side move freely when pullig towards me.

You can either force it off or there is a lever in the adjuster hole that you lift and rotate the star counter clockwise

On the back side of the backing plate on the bottom you'll see a rubber oblong plug. Pull that out and get a small flathead screwdriver and you can adjust the shoes inward so you can loosen them up and away from the drum because the screwdriver will catch the teeth that are on the adjuster.

Thats looking at it from the inside but you get the idea.

Sounds simple enough. Are you sure your running the correct fuse?

I just picked up some hockey pucks to extend my front bump stops. Im at 3in of lift on 31s. Im going to start with 2 hockey pucks and take it from there. Would you guys still recommend doing the cut and fold on the inner seam?

Default 98 xj doors

Can someone tell me the difference in the doors of a 98 XJ 4 door,
and the doors of the 96 and older 4 doors.

I have compared photos of each side by side and can not tell any
difference.

My 98 doors are in poor condition, and I have found several older
model xjs with good body parts, that I can buy the complete vehicle.

thanks,,
