I'm sure this has been asked before, but how many gallons of coolant do xjs take? I'm flushing my system this weekend and want to be prepared...
Also, would a 160 tstat for the summer be overkill? My jeep doesn't overheat but it does creep up a little only when sitting in traffic, I want to keep her nice and cool esp when wheeling etc.

No. Thermostat controls the MINIMUM temperature ONLY. A factory one opens at 195 degrees. (For a good reason) From there the rest of the system is responsible. Fix your clutch fan.

Okay gang. So I'm still screwing with this garbage U joint press and my axle shafts. I figured out the yoke was bent. (Sure doesn't help that the seat on the press isn't flat and the ****ing screw deflects as soon as you put any force on it, pushing the caps in sideways) Caliper showed like a 2 or 3 mm difference on the inside between the front of the yoke ears and the back.
I'm trying to get it straightened out. Last run I took at it I was able to get both caps on the U joint but it doesn't turn. Almost feels seized. So ai know one of them is still crooked and one must be bent slightly still. Any tips on how to fix? Or just a lot of trial and error?

Normally when there tight like that i like to tap around on the ear, helps loosening it up when she doesn't want to move freely. Could also try some heat.

Needle bearings are good
Mmm. Thats a tricky one maybe a bad joint.
Hey guys I have this check engine light that comes on intermittently, the codes it throws are p700 and p705. when the cel is on trans is driving high rpm as if it doesn't want to shift out of third gear. The codes point to the nSS. But is there any thing else that it could be?
Also I didn't have this problem till after i cleaned my NSS to get my reverse lights to work again.
Could i possibly of adjusted it wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Really would not like to replace the NSS if not necessary.

There's a great possibility of putting the NSS on slightly out of adjustment . It's been a little bit but I'm pretty sure u need to loosened the smaller bolt for the adjustment and much easier with some help

For straightening the ears, remove joint and torch it red hot and form till perfect... I wouldn't try it without heat. For the joint not moving, either a needle is dislodged or its because the ears aren't straight. Mount that one end up and wiggle the shaft around to see if it'll loosen up. The joints i put in mine were extremely tight until i worked it quite a bit.
Thanks for the words guys. I'll keep messing with it once I'm awake. Waiting to go back to bed once I stop getting paged

If you heat the ears to bend them back, then all you are doing is making it weaker. Get new. If you bent the ears trying to press out the old, try my way. I cut every u joint out, just leaving the caps in the ears. Then this way when pressing out you are only pressing one cap at a time instead of two. So much easier this way. Most of the time I can just use a bench vise to press out and press new u joints in
