Ha ha yeah it's something to watch - some parts are very different for the UK - power steering lines etc. Most part come from Germany over here so have to be certain they will fit my right hand drive engine ...

Does your truck run on LPG? I'd swear that's the regulator for the gas.

Yes! I thought it might be as i didn't recognise it and couldn't locate it in my Haynes engine diagram. I wonder if it's serviceable ... ? It doesn't look in good shape - looks like it's been leaking with all the white deposits on it

Looks like a propane regulator to me. Where is the steam coming out of it?

Not sure - might well just be the hoses are corroded - need a cleanup and new collars. I've never seen one before to be honest. I had a feeling it was something to do with the LPG tho

Will the replacement gas tank be very inexpensive?

Because if not - I would just repair the original. And you already know that it fits well. <g>

Clean all the rust off, take it down to clean metal, and overcoat it with a brush-able epoxy and embed some kind of fabric. Glassfiber cloth is a bit of a bother to get just right but an old tee shirt or whatever similar bit of kit you can round up and . . . . Bob's Your Uncle.

You'll find yourself quite chuffed in the end. <g>

And 2: I'm planning on buying a second hand fuel tank, painting it and adding some sort of protective layer. The only ones I see are for 97-01. Is it the same fuel tank? I.e. will a 97-01 fit my 95?

Cheers

Coolant runs through it. I'm with you on the hoses. The external experience isn't important. Make sure it's not leaking from the body.

Even that can be repaired easily.

Right there where the metal is delaminating and falling off would be considered too rusted. You could fix it by cutting it off and welding new plate metal in, but I don't think it's worth it in my opinion.

Default Help jeep Cherokee won't start

Hello everyone, my 1999 jeep Cherokee sport won't start! All it does when I turn the key all the way is make a "click" and then everything shuts off and won't turn back on unless I disconnect the terminals from the battery then reconnect them. I have already tested the battery and it was fine, I have taken the starter off and tested it. It was also fine. I then also checked all the fuses and relays and they are all good! Someone please help. I dont know want else to check.

Even though your battery tested good, try a different battery.
