Having trouble figuring out my front end shimmy that turns into death wobble if I hit a bump over 60mph. I dont get a constant shimmy until 70mph, but anytime over 60 I can get death wobble.
Replaced the track bar with a brand new one. Today I replaced all tie rod ends and installed a ZJ tie rod because it looked like the ends had slight play in them. Greased everything up, did my alignment, and I still get the same occurrence. Checked the control arms and the bushings arent awful. Checked the steering box bolts and theyre tight. Checked for any play in the tires when the jeep was jacked up and didnt feel any horizontally and didnt feel any vertically.
The previous owner gave me the records for the Jeep and the ball joints were replaced 50k miles ago for the passenger side and the driver side was 75k miles ago.
I have no record of any u joints being replaced in the service history. Could my ball joints and axle shaft u joints need to be replaced ?

Default NewKindOfClown and VTJeep

Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday.

NewKindOfClown I'll research those numbers.

VTJeep, yeah she's smooth. Skids, D35 w/lsd (Traclok), two tow hooks up front and one on the rear.

I've got a question. On my rear windshield wiper I'm missing a piece so my washer fluid shoots strait back. could somebody post a pic of theirs for comparison?

I don't have an XJ nearby, but a rubber house runs from there to the wiper arm, near the blade attachment point

Alright thanks guys! For some reason I feel like mine didn't just fall off being that its attached to both sides, and I think would have noticed it hanging before it fell off both points. Somebody must think they really got me good lol!

I was just thinking that. I had them balanced about 3 months, 3k ago. But the next day I drove 3 hours away and spent the weekend offroading on stock wheels and tires that were aired down. So it could probably use another balancing. Ill get one this week.
Thank you.
