I have coolant that appears to be coming from behind the water pump on my 98. It's dripping from the lower hose but I can see that it's coming from up the pump near the block. Is it normal for the seal to go bad? The water pump is only a couple years old.

ok so i bought a 96 cherokee with 232k miles on it it ran rough when i bought it and i did a tune up the tune up cleared it up greatly. i also fixed the exhaust leaks and anything i felt that needed to be done, but i cant seem to get rid of the miss fire on cly 1 and cly one only i did a compression test and all the cly are 140 to 165 which is great im at a complete loss as to what i can do. this is my 5th cherokee so i know my way around them just this issue has got me stumped. (side note the miss is only at an idle cold or hot it doesnt matter )

When I change the PV to the ZJ one on my 01 XJ, do I only have to do a standard bleed at the tires, for air.

Check the system for vacuum leaks, also test with a multimeter or OBD-II scanner what the ECT and IAT sensors are reporting.

Specifically, did you verify that the ECT and IAT show accurate numbers when they should? A good test is on a cold engine.

Also how did the old spark plugs look?

Yea it's the fold down bench seat. Where the seat latches to the side walk of the truck. Their are three bolts. It's on the opposite side of the spare tire mount
