Not a direct swap, 1998 is a different generation. If you want to run the '98 PCM you need to redo a bunch of wiring. Main items that differ in a manual are the fuel system and hoe the cluster works. To be honest I'm not sure they even have the same pinouts or even sensors like CKP.

1996 is unique for almost everything. Might want to just fake the AW4's presence if you want the CEL off.

Or go get the rest of the Jeep. Then you get cupholders!

Only good for pavement, hit the whoops or drop off a ledge and your non-alcoholic beverage is all over the ceiling. I have resorted to containers with screw-on lids. lol

The only thing I've heard is a shifter out of a ZJ is supposed be a direct swap. Looks about the same to me so not really worth it.

I'll defer to the wiring masters but I believe you can jumper the harness to make it think the trans is there. Then there is always the bulb...

Hi. I'm new here.
Can anybody help me identify these axles?

Rear diff. Anybody know what type is it?

Front diff.

There on a cherokee 4.0 HO 1997
6" lift
33" Silverstone tyres.
I was looking to put Detroit locker on both of these, but I don't know which one I should buy. Can anyone help me please?

Dana 30 up front, Dana 35 in the back. The D35 is weak and not worth spending on the locker. Spend your money locating a Chrysler 8.25 or less common Dana 44.

Installed some Liquid Iron shackle relocation brackets this weekend and the alignment wasnt exactly perfect on the shackles I suppose and now they're rubbing. Anyone know of a better/different shackle that isnt going to rub?

They're all going to rub. A longer one will give you more travel, but also more lift of course. A lot of people just trim the bracket down once they have their angle set.

Default LPG problem in UK

Hi guys,

I would like to ask if anyone has any experience of LPG on our beloved Jeeps here in the UK?

I bought my Jeep a few weeks back with an LPG system already fitted. It had a known problem in that it wont run right on LPG at all.

It stutters, the revs go up and down and finally it just cuts out.

I am hoping there is an easier fix that I can try rather than having to spend the £600 - £700 in replacing the entire system. I live in Lancashire.

Cheers everyone.
Nige
