There is, but the O2 sensors are a regular maintenance item with a limited life. Roughly 80,000 miles. If they haven't been done, then it is time. NTK is the OE brand by the way. Our Jeeps fo not like Bosch or Denso

I am going to check the air cleaner, but I believe it is good. I would notice seized brakes. The motor runs fine. The motor oil is so-so. The tires are slightly oversize but not nearly big enough to cause a major drop in mileage.

The automatic transmission has some milky looking juice in it and I anticipate changing it. I think that would be a new cover gasket on the bottom, check the filter, and new oil. If you could, what would be the common replacement fluid for the transmission and about how many quarts?

Thanks for the advice.

Another dumb question...

I've noticed in the xj world many run upgradeed front bumpers but with no winch (bumper usually includes a receiver hitch slot).

I feel like I see fewer winches compared to say the wrangler world where if someone has an upgraded bumper they usually have a winch. Is this due to the unibody being weaker or wanting to stress it less? Am I just imagining things?

Always use Dexron/mercon III fluid. Don't use ATF4 like Chrysler or parts store would tell you.

Unless you think there is a good reason to drop the pan, don't. The "filter" is just a screen. IF trans is full, measure amount that comes out, replace with same. About 3qts.

Just had a brain fart. I don't remember if I changed the TC fluid
I do remember making sure the fill plug came loose.

Sometimers kick in.

Default Anywhere I can get replacement gutter trim?

I searched around a bit and haven't found anything useful, so I figured I'd ask here.

I recently overload my gutter mount roof racks (I think, not totally sure what happened) and they failed, mangling the trim on the driver-side gutter.

I'm wondering if there is anywhere I can get a new piece of trim? It looks like the factory set up is glued on.

Any other advice or insight it appreciated.

My 91 is a Laredo that came with the polished metal gutter trim, and I pulled it all off when I sanded and painted the POS. Mine looks alright without it, so I never bothered to put the stuff back on, but plan to use some automotive trim if/when I ever do. That stuff just presses right over the seam. But it usually comes in black and chrome, and you would probably need to paint it white to match (unless you have some other chrome that I'm not seeing). Maybe go with chrome anyway, or maybe talk to a body shop and see if they will paint it for you, or if they will just put some body filler on it and clean it up.

You should always post year and trim level. Helps everyone know what you've got and give good information.

You look like a 97 and up. Here is a link to the molding. Looks like there is a left and right. 85 bucks a side. Lots of folks just take it off and clean it up.

I'd normally agree with that, but it isn't relevant here. It's a '99+
