What's the best adhesive to stabilize my controls in my door trim? My passenger side rattles and it makes the locks fire on & off. I was going to just hoopty fix it with RTV but not sure what else there is.

You guys will get a kick out of this: After I finished the installation, I came inside to wash my hands. When I came out, my "gopher" decided to do me a favor and wash the motor, much to my chagrin.
I'll let Cruiser guess what I've got on order at the moment. This time I ordered two, just to have a spare in the trunk.

Is what's "on order" a result of the improper engine washing?
Jones, please fill us in - Thank You.
Just got my gears replaced, again. The front and rear ring and pinion are brand new.
I'm getting a ton of howling from them on deceleration. This has been happening since I had the jeep regeared originally.
Is this normal until break-in has been achieved? Please tell me it is because I do not want to take my jeep back into the shop.
Also does anyone know a good 4WD shop around Radford, VA? I've found a few in Roanoke, but I'd rather know of some place nearby.

I am eager to know what the result of Jones' helper 'washing the motor', which surely was done improperly, and very possibly caused damage to 'something'. Which something [or plural] was damaged? TPS? IAC? PCM/ECM?

After the first time, I told him not to wash it without letting me know, but he's somewhat "challenged", so I cut him a lot of slack, even after he did it a second time.
I've got a couple of DD's, so no big deal. He is going to change the wheel flares while it's parked.

My son's hasn't got to that point, but if I bump it with knee or arm they fire.
I would think RTV would be easier to remove. Heck, he still has duct tape holding window up. His ride, his fix. I'd fix it if he bought the parts, needs a regulator.

There are differences in input lengths of different 231's, not sure about 242's though.
