But does the U joint also make the motor feel like it's dragging/held back? I've taken the tire off to check and checked from the wheel hub to the drive shaft but haven't been able to notice any wear.

Make sure the intake manifold is fully seated on the head dowels. Don't assume!!

If the fit is too tight, you're gonna do some intake filing. Pic attached.

Tighten the bolts in a clockwise circular pattern from the middle out to the ends.

Will do man. Thanks for the input.

i need front coil springs for a 1994 xj with the 2.5L amc 4 cylinder. Most of what i've found are lift springs or OE's for the 4.0 ... is there a major difference in the spring tinsel for the 4.0 vs the 2.5 or are they the same? The springs in her have 300K plus miles and only measure 11-12" installed. The new OE springs are 15" installed. Have the old ones really collapsed that much? Any insight into the front coil springs for a mid 90's 2.5 greatly appreciated.

No!!

And, how are you gonna torque them? Can you compensate for the length of extensions you must use that will alter the torque readings?

Correction. With my hand at 6" and with a 6" extension, I need to dial my torque wrench to 12ftlbs. Did I get that right?
