I've contemplated it numerous times.
If detoursusa.com would ever continue production of the tailbone system, that would probably be your best option (considering availability of the parts versus cost).

Remember how long I was looking for one of those cables?
Now that I have a new one, I've actually adjusted it a few time, just because I can.

BTW, the delay is worse when it's cold, maybe 30 seconds (an eternity) but if I shift it in and out a few times, it will reduce substantially down to about 8-10 seconds.
Still way too long.

Is there a one stop shop where I can get the grommets, ccv valve, and breather valve for a 1999 4.0? I've found them, but not from the same vendor. Plus no two sites seem to agree on what the parts are.

Beware the elbows, they live under like three categories, it's kinda confusing. Just make sure that one is with the orifice and one is open. Description and photos are accurate. Also, the front elbow. From an earlier year fits fine. I did that to save on shipping lol.

Yeah I need to get my act together. I've already ordered from them twice. If I had my ducks in a row I'd be able to save a couple of bucks.

So I was taking my XJ44 apart today, and after taking out the carrier and the races, I saw really thick rubber gasket on the ends on the housing. It resembled a really thick and large O-ring. Is that normal? I have never seen this before.
I looked up "axle inner seals" on Google and I can't even find an image that matched what I saw. Most inner seals are what u would expect... A rubber ring with metal spring to hold the rubber flange down on the shaft...
Anyone know what's up?
