No. We cannot build and balance a driveshaft correctly without u-joints."

Drive vibrations is usually a 'shake', will be felt through the seat and your feet. It can shake the jeep or make it feel like it's hopping.

A growl could be a wheel bearing. Or after a lift the growl could be the pinion bearing that is loaded and is protesting or same with output bearing in transfer case.

You can remove the rear drive shaft and give it a test drive in 4-Part Time if needed.

Definitely not a vibe, could be the drive line making the growl noise or honestly it could be a new exhaust note I haven't heard before lol.

I could see there being some load on the pinion because the extended shackles I used have a pretty bad shackle angle, and it might have rotated the axle too much.

I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Might have to throw a t case drop in there temporarily.

Popped it into 4L after finishing up all my fluid work today. Jeep felt jumpy. Only way I can really describe it. Does this sound normal or should 4L be more of a smoother ride?

I have a slight front end shake. I replaced the track bar and steering stabilizer after experiencing the death wobble a few times and it did get rid of the full blown wobble. But I can still feel a slight shake on the highway when I hit some small bumps like it wants to get to wobbling but doesn't quite get there. I've had the front end aligned and the front end checked out by a good shop and they said everything looks good and tight. It's a 2000 Cherokee with a 2" budget lift. It feels like it wants to turn almost too quick the further I turn the wheel. Like there is to much toe-in maybe. Could adding a little toe-out help this at all? is there some kind of compensation in the alignment that needs to be done for the lift? I think it was aligned to stock specs.
I've had this Jeep about a year and it just feels weak and shaky in the front end. Almost like everything flex's to much. I've mostly had larger vehicles up till now.

The other main culprit would be control arm bushings There are six of them in the arms and two more on the upper axle. These are often difficult to visually tell if they are bad.

A printout of the alignment could give additional clues. Once a jeep is lifted, the alignment parameters become less forgiving. How you describe the handling in turns, sound like caster angle.

Toe-out would likely cause wandering.

Oil filter adapter bolt tighter than a laying down pull up. Should I warm the engine up?

 

That might help. Mine was also gorilla tight.
