Same wires fit on any 4.0L XJ. Distributor systems aren't exactly complex!

Sure could be the TPS. Could also be a vacuum leak. You'll want to test those theories properly and not just throw parts at it. That's how you wind up broke and frustrated.

Why was the CPS replaced?

Meh. I just torqued it down and put everything on this morning. I'll probably use that head bolt or the top bolt where the weird inverted hex bolt goes into the block and one by the AC bracket.
Good deal

What gauge wire runs to the AC clutch's electromagnet? Replacing it but the new coil doesn't have connections and I need to splice into the existing wiring harness. I picked up some 22-18 gauge double female heat shrinked connectors but not sure if that will work.

Thanks guys.

Edit: 18 gauge from all the wiring diagrams.

How the heck do I get the 14mm center nut back onto the post for theAC compressor? IT WILL NOT GO ON. Tried putting it in the freezer even.

16 AWG. And remember, it's a Chrysler, so more is better. Where did you find 18??? I'm looking at the 1999 FSM right now.

I take it the 18-22 connector bit will die quickly then? Stoked I have to redo that. Spent the past 2 hours trying to get the 14mm center nut reinstalled and it will not FU#$#@# go on. I am going to cut the face down 1 thread and try again. Looks like the bearing puller bent it. DYNO-MITE! : drink:

Before I go taking apart the 4.2 head that I have anyone know if 4.2 exhaust valves are interchangeable with a 4.0?

I know people have gotten bolts and nuts fished through somewhere on the rear upper shock bolt mounts. (After punching broken bolts/nuts out)

But where exactly? The two small holes by it? Or the triangular shaped open area?

Finally found a pic. Looks like the triangular shaped area is the ticket. I wasn't sure if there was enough space there.

Does MMCS Rear Qtr Solid Window Insert mean that my Jeep did not come with clear/tinted glass qtr windows?

Some old wiring diagram I found. Thanks for the information! I put in some 14/16 gauge compatible connectors. New alternator, a few solid flushes of the cooling system and this clutch overhaul. It's running at 195 way more often now than a few weeks back, and blowing cold air through the vents!

Thanks again. Without this place I'd be completely boned.
