If it's rust free I'd go for it. No 0331 ****, huge aftermarket, and hey you can take the top off. But for trade + cash, unless your 2001 is a beast, seriously inspect the frame for rot. Pay attention above the rear LCAs. Front fenders are probably shot lol

Any idea how to extract those bolts that hold the nose of the cherokee on, on the corners. There are two on each corner that hold the plastic nose section on by nuts. I broke all four bolts. I think its called the grille header panel.
Also, I still havn't found out, how is the battery mounted in a '96 cherokee?

I asked Goggle, the answer is LP in all TJs.
Any fluid in the evap canister is gasoline. It condenses and collects evaporated fuel.
While the light behaviour sounds normal you may have some other problems that are causing your Jeep to require extra cranking. Take a look around here for a "poor man's prime" to see if it's the fuel system. Also a good refresh of your battery connections and having your battery load tested can be of help.
GEN light means the system voltage is below expectations. A lot of vehicles (earlier XJs, my stupid 2001 VW) just throw it on whenever voltage is below about 13 VDC
