ok first time this happened.I went to start it. It didn't so i floored it then started it and it started but ran rough for a second ,then it was fine. What could it be?Its a 96 cherokee 5 speed 220,???miles

That's maintenance stuff. Why would someone do that first? It's gotta be a sensor or something. A silver bullet cure, I'm sure!!

whats silver bullet cure?I do need wires ..Is it a injector or something?It acted like it wasn't getting gas thats why i pushed gas petal

Silver bullet cure is when someone expects to find ONE thing that will fix their Jeep.

Normal maintenance needs to be done first. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor every 30,000 miles. Clean the throttle body and IAC.

Have you checked to see if the intake manifold bolts have loosened up? Are all the engine vacuum lines in tact?
Basics first.

I'll check vacuum lines.I already changed plugs and rotor but not wires and cap.I cleaned throttle not long ago and intake air sensor.
