Ok, there's this tube that comes from the top of my front diff and goes up to my fire wall... But it's capped off for some reason, any ideas why that would be? Or what it is actually for?

Engine: 4.0 ho 99 intake ps pump 1" tb spacer 62mm bored tb eletric fans and more
thats the axle vent the cap should have a little opening to let air in and out but restrict any water.

Vent for your front diff. Transmission, transfer case, and rear axle have one too.

Assembling my new engine a bit tonight. Do y'all put rtv on your gaskets for the water pump and thermostat? Or other gaskets? I always have for the water pump and thermostat to get the gasket to stay in place but I saw where cruiser said he only puts it on the oil pan gasket. What do y'all think I should use rtv on? Brand new rebuilt engine with new accessories
