Can I remove the front flare mounting brackets on my 99 and keep the inner fender liner in place?

Yes, you have to pass some small bolts through the holes where the brackets' studs used to be.

Somebody found a site with a great price on Trucklites a week or two ago. They were around $350 for a pair. Anybody happen to have saved that site?

Default What is this? I foiund it near the alternator wrapped in electrical tape,

I recently lost my sweet 98 XJ when my wife wrapped it around a tree. Thankfully she walked off unhurt. So I have another a solid 99 XJ 4.0 straight 6 4X4. I got it running last night but found this device wrapped in tape coming off the starter. The two pieces of hose are covering long threaded bolts. There is a plug with two wires coming out the other side. There is a bare piece of metal built into the plastic. Any help is appreciated thanks

That is definitely an odd item. I'd guess it is part of an aftermarket remote start/alarm system. Nothing factory about your description or that crimp. Pictures don't look like anything on my 1999
