While driving I am getting a hard "Jerk" of the entire jeep. It does not do it everyday, nor does it matter if its cold, hold, or any particular gear or speed. It does it about 3-5 times a week over a period of about 75 miles.
Its usually when I'm doing a steady 40-60 mph it will just one time quickly "Jerk" the entire jeep for a millisecond then drive fine.
I've done a drain and fill of the tranny, changed tps, IAC, plugs cap rotor wires air filter.
Idk where to look or what to do. Its annoying and feels as if it jerks to downshift but I get no rpm drop or engine sound change. Any ideas?

My Jeep does this between 60-70mph at random times. I think it was because I was running ATF+4 which can cause the AW4 to slip.

Yeah I'll have to run to o'rielys. I think they do free scans don't they? The engine light comes on and off every couple weeks.

Is it like someone stepping on the brake really really fast multiple times? Does it jerk back or forward kinda like its slipping? What transmission fluid are you running?

I'm going to say forward. At first I thought it was slipping but I'm not quite sure. I'm using Dex/merc3 I believe. This happened randomly after owning the jeep for 1.5 years. I never changed or added any fluid to the trans in that time. It feels like 1 giant miss for a split second I guess. Its hard to explain. Its one jerk not multiple at a time.

I thought it could be this also since I did replace my pump about 2 years ago with an airtex but since it happens so fast and goes away a split second later I thought it may not be my issue. My fuel pressures are all normal when I test it.

Mine stopped acting stupid when I replaced the fuel pump and changed the transmission fluid. I'll have to drive it more to see if it does it anymore. It doesn't jerk anymore as far as I know and it shifts a lot better with Dex/Merc.

I won't have the extra cash for a new pump for awhile, iv also gotta do a belt and pulley on it soon. I am so annoyed with this though.

I bought the fuel pump and module on Rock auto. I had to replace it because it never wanted to start. I think it was just the transmission fluid that caused mine to slip.
With a piece of ~18g wire add a ground wire directly from o2 sensor to chassis- make sure it's clean metal you attach to. Strip 2-3 inches of the wire and wrap it around the slightly backed out o2 sensor and retighten it. Same for chassis side.
Now on the subject of o2's, there's a chance this needs to be replaced.. If you've refreshed all grounds (check Cruiser54's Renix tips) and replaced sensors then move to fuel delivery. Check the filter, if there's debris, check the tank. Sorry I I'm repeating things you already did- I'm on the app :/
