Nvm the one on the right isn't 97+. I didn't see the tube on the intake part.

oh. I remember posting in this thread asking what that hose was called and I was told it was the "PCV breather" or something like that. My mistake.

Okay.. so my 96 doesn't have that tube either. So is it a renix piece or is it just OBD-I models or something? Hahaha. It was sitting in the back seat of a 93 (I think) and I just picked it up without taking too close of a look.

How much would you say is a good price for a dana30 with 456 gears and for ford 8.8 with LSD and 456 gears as well? The 8.8 is coming off an Xj so the conversion has already been done and should bolt directly into mine. Guy is asking for 800 for both. Should I jump on it?

That doesn't sound that bad, especially with the new gearing and the relocated spring perches. You could obviously find better if you have equipment to do it yourself but its lots of leg work. Seen dudes selling single axles around CO for 2-400 and not regeared.

You couldn't pay for gears and install for that price...

Yeah, truth. Maybe be able to get an 8.8 installed with stock gears. Aka don't buy it, and let me.

Yeah and the rear disc brakes and brake lines are already set up for an Xj. I will text him and hopefully pick them up soon. Thanks. Also he's selling some bilstein 5165 shocks with the reservoirs... All 4 for 350. May scoop those up too and other things he's parting out....shiet Xmas is making me broke but this will be my present to myself and my ar-15 build will be put on hold lol

Yeah sounds like a decent deal. Make sure nothing is roasted on it, but shoot! Sounds like a solid deal.

Give you $825

Ok so I didn't have time to wait for Jon's cables to be shipped because I would like to have it on the road Monday. Replaced the all the battery cables with 4 gauge wires from the auto store (B+ to starter, B+ to PDC, B- to block and B- to fender well). I did not replace the engine block to firewall ground yet. Still getting the same code and I'm at 9 volts before and after start up according to the OEM gauge.

Two things ... My neighbors 98 xj 4.0 4x4 won't start ader they hooked jumpers up backwards. It just cranks n cranks. They've checked fuses and relays. I went down cant here fuel pump kick on.. Only thing I can think of is a wire or the pump am I right???
#2 I have a op coming from my steering box 97 xj 4.0. Is it loose and needs tightened or replaced? A new box costs around 130 to 140. Thanx in advance!!

Did my compression test...I'm boned.

All cylinders except for number 3 register right around 150 psi. Number three....barely 30 psi.

I know this isn't good but besides it not being good. What does this mean? This is my first time doing a compression test so idk exactly what that tells me with it being soo low.

Did you do test a few times to verify the reading?
