98' xj, 4.0/ax15: After a few hours of wheeling my ax15 became very hard to shift. It seemed to still have clutch pedal pressure however it was not shifting into gear for a while. This happened in a very tight area where I had to give the clutch a workout and I'm sure the whole clutch assembly was getting warm. Clutch kit is only a few thousands miles old. Hydraulic assembly has been bled multiple times however I have not totally drain and filled the system. Perhaps bad fluid or was the clutch slipping? Clutch pedal had pressure when pushed to the floor however it wouldn't shift into gear. After waiting some time it would shift again.
Thanks for your reply, yes I replaced the throwout and pilot bearing when I was in there. I bet it was just clutch glazing as after I started moving again it went away. Going to replace the fluid anyhow. Thanks again.

Uh oh... I got in the Jeep just now for like the first time in a week and see this... :/ Heater core? Anything I can do to check and see if that's what it is?
Yeah, the mats are nasty... but it's cold outside. Not gonna clean right now :P

I'm not really familiar with how antifreeze smells, but I'll smell it in a minute when I go for a drive.
I also checked under the Jeep for a rust hole or something (no idea what I was looking for) but I didn't find anything and I haven't been driving it anyway, so don't think that could be it.

My first thought was soda, as well... There was a bottle of Dr. Pepper laying on the rear driver floorboard and it seemed to be leaking a bit (dunno how, guess being in the fluctuating temps?) but there's no way it could have been that. I checked for leaks around the door and such... but I couldn't find any.
