Hi, I'm pretty new here. I saw this accessory on trucks. It goes above the front window and almost extend the roof by like 4 or 5 inches out past the window. I guess it's a shade or awning but it gives your XJ a really aggressive look. Also anybody know where you can get bolt on door mesh/bungie pouches for an 01 sport trim?
THANKS!!!!
THANKS!!!!

If you have a 4dr. Go to junkyard and look at back wall of rangers. They have a cargo net that fits door perfectly. If you have electric windows it will screw right on. I have manual windows, so I am going to shorten the frame so it doesn't interfere with my window crank.
1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport Automatic Stock 3.55 gears on Chrysler 8.25
3" lift on 31x10.5 on 15" steels
Calculating based on dash + 13%. I saw a general guideline of 13% increase in mileage on 31s somewhere on here.

A quick list of maintenance items that affect fuel economy on a 15-year-old vehicle? lol
Spark plugs
Wires
Distributor cap & rotor
All engine bay grounds
Verify TPS is accurate
Verify ECT sensor is accurate
Verify IAT sensor is accurate
Verify MAP is accurate
Check for vacuum leaks
Replace any O2 sensors older than 80k miles
Proper weight engine oil & reliable quality filter
Transmission fluid
Transfer case fluid
Differential fluid
Lubricate U joints (if greaseable, otherwise old ones may be seized)
Air filter
Adjust transmission throttle valve cable
Check evap system for leaks
Make sure air conditioner isn't on (defrost/defog runs the air conditioner)
Check belt driven accessories for excessive drag
Compression test to find ring or valve issues
Check for leaky fuel injectors
Clean throttle body
That's just off the top of my head.
Obviously, you're going to take a permanent hit from the lift and bigger tires. On stock gearing you will lose fuel economy just because the final drive ratio is no longer optimal.
You still haven't told us how you're calculating mileage... miles driven/amount of gas put in? Or are you doing the completely useless "how far until half a tank"?
Internet-rumoured 13% change of speedo doesn't do you any good if your speedo was inaccurate in the first place. You need to figure out how much you're off by checking with a GPS.

Miles driven divided by amount of gas put in so far. I will check the gps way as soon as it stops freaking snowing.

Good stuff. You can find writeups for most/all of those on here. Beware the year, there are a number of differences in procedure for Renix, OBD-I, and OBD-II setups as far as sensor testing goes.
My jeep seems to be creating a lot of static electricity while driving. When I go to shut the doors the jeep it shocks me and other passengers. Also if I go to grab something or some one after driving I zap them.
Any ideas on what this could be ?
Any body have this problem before

Just make sure you touch something metal after exiting your Jeep and before you start pumping gas
